BS 7984:2008 Key Holding Standard

Any security system is only as good as its weakest point. You could have a 25mm thick door securing your property but if some unauthorised person has access to the keys, you may as well leave it open.

Any security operator that controls customer keys or pass codes should be able to convince their customer that they are held in safe hands, and how better to show this than by the certification issued by a third party of compliance to a British Standard.

Compliance to the standard ensures that the correct procedures are not only in place, but they are in use and that systems are there to protect their access.
